The National Commission to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the United States Capitol Complex, known colloquially as the January 6 commission, is a partisan kangaroo court based somewhat on the Salem Witch Trials of the late 1600's, with the exception being that the Salem Witch Trials were less one-sided.
Throughout the history of jurisprudence in the United States, including what is specifically spelled out in the United States Constitution, all parties are represented in legal matters. Some may not consider a commission a "legal process." However, when phone records and electronic messages are obtained by subpoena, and witnesses are called to testify under oath, it becomes a matter of legality. Ever member of the panel has made derogatory remarks against former president Donald Trump, and has accused him of wrongdoing and of leading the "insurrection." Liz Cheney, who many claim has IQ of a subway token, has seen hugging some of the witnesses after testimony. Any appearance of even the slightest hint of impartiality is purely coincidental.
When it was stated that this commission is less fair than the Salem Witch Trials, it is not hyperbole. While the Salem Witch Trials did not allow the accused to have legal counsel, they were allowed to call witnesses. Donald Trump was not allowed counsel or witnesses in this matter nor was any refuting testimony allowed. The Democrats and the Mass Media are totally complicit, as they normally are, because their general belief is their political enemies should be imprisoned, as is common in third world banana republics.
According to Congress itself, the purpose of Congressional Commissions is as follows:
Congressional advisory commissions are formal groups established to provide independent advice; make recommendations for changes in public policy; study or investigate a particular problem, issue, or event; or perform a duty. This should make the commission invalid by the very definition that Congress has applied, since there is not one iota of impartiality. However, considering the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi does not know, understand or even care about the rules established by Congress, this comes at no surprise to anyone with an IQ above that of a subway token.
The members, specifically Liz Cheney, ask viewers to stay tuned as they are going to provide so much evidence and star witnesses that cannot be disputed. Many compare their promised evidence to that of soap operas or professional wrestling when promoting upcoming events. To this date, no evidence has been provided that would convince even the most jaded Trump supporter to change their allegiance.
One of Liz Cheney's star witnesses was a low-level staffer named Cassidy Hutchinson. Hutchinson's testimony was made entirely of hearsay evidence with generous amounts of perjury sprinkled in. The testimony was called "brave" and "distinguished", but, unfortunately, would be disregarded and completely thrown out if her testimony was on Judge Judy or The People's Court. This is due to the fact that her testimony is what someone else told her and she did not witness. After her "testimony", Secret Service agents were ready to immediately testify that what she told the commission was completely untrue. Hutchinson also claimed she wrote a note, which was immediately disputed by the person who actually wrote the note.
