The Lincoln Project was formed around 2019 with the goal of ensuring that Donald Trump did not win the 2020 election. The group claims they were formed because they are moral Republicans who did not appreciate the immorality of Donald Trump. The sincerity of this has been highly doubted since the co-founder, John Weaver, was a well-known **REDACTED**. According to Karl Rove, this was no secret and has been well known for over three decades.
Please note that a lot of information about John Weaver is redacted due to the disgusting nature of the allegations, most of which violate the high moral standards Drogans readers expect.
There are many members of the Lincoln Project, but most of the people involved with the group are there because of desperation (like having no job). The core of the group seems to be George Conway, Steve Schmidt, John Weaver and Rick Wilson. Out of this group, Rick Wilson seems to be the most successful. He was the political advisor for Cletus Showalter who was elected twice to the city council of Bucksnort, TN (this was Rick's most successful election to date). George Conway hold the dubious honor of winning World Pie Eating Championship five years in a row. Steve Schmidt has the distinction of never accomplishing anything in his life. And, of course, John Weaver has **REDACTED**.
The purpose of the Lincoln Project is pretty straightforward and depends highly on the particular member.
Rick Wilson joined the group due to the lack of job opportunities for a homely, middle-aged political analyst or whatever it is that he does. Although he already had hundreds of dollars in his savings account, he felt it was easier to live on graft than real, actual work.
George Conway became part of the group because he a) wanted to make it as awkward as possible for his wife who was, at the time, working for President Trump; b) thought it would help him get free fries and hamburgers at McDonald's.
Steve Schmidt signed up because he always had a fantasy of being a tough guy and threatening other people to make him feel strong and superior. At age 15, he picked a fight with a 12 year-old girl and lost. It landed him in the emergency room and has been secretly searching for a way to redeem himself.
John Weaver joined the group in order to **REDACTED**.
The Lincoln Project has announced now that President Biden won the 2020 election, they would be throwing their support behind leftist, socialist members of the Democrat part. This would seem to violate their core beliefs since they claim to be moral Republicans. Nonetheless, for a group of people that knowingly worked with a **REDACTED** named John Weaver, the morality of their beliefs should be continually questioned.
The legacy of the Lincoln Project is a difficult one. Of course, they still share the narcissistic trait of high self-worth and they believe they are the greatest thing to ever happen in American politics. CNN and MSNBC enjoy them as they are what they consider "useful idiots." However, as has been noted many times, since the Trump gained Republican support from the 2016 election to the 2020 election, and the sole purpose of their group was to destroy confidence in Donald Trump by people in the Republican party, the group can be considered nothing more than a dismal failure.
However, contrary to the facts, the group considers itself the sole reason Donald Trump lost the 2020 election. Despite all of this, the group is considered a laughingstock inside leftist political circles, serving as the butt of many jokes.
Despite having absolutely nothing in common with Abraham Lincoln, they will continue to call themselves "The Lincoln Project." Now that they will be using their funds to support left-wing candidates for the foreseeable future, it has been suggested they use a more accurate title, such as "The Lenin Project." The moniker was summarily dismissed by Rick Wilson. Wilson stated, "I'm really not a fan of the Beatles, so I don't understand why we'd do that." The rest of the group, bewildered by what Wilson just said, ended the discussion at that point.
Steve Schmidt, after crying for about an hour, decided to leave the group after he officially joined the Democrat party. As a going away present, the rest of the Lincoln Project wished him well and bought him a pacifier to help calm him down when he is stressed out.
